Yet another weekend adventure for the newlyweds and our expecting friends, Brian & Cara! :) We had beautiful weather here in Austin this past Saturday. It was so beautiful that we decided to take advantage of getting a little sun (as if I need to be more darker). Joined by our friends Brian and Cara, we made a trek over to take in the magnificent views of Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve. For those who don’t know, Hamilton Pool Nature Preserve is is a historic swimming hole with a 50 foot waterfall located about 30 miles southwest of Austin. And once again, my wife set the expectation of paradise without telling me we had to walk treacherously down what seemed to be an endless trail. Yes, it was worth it, but man on the way back I thought I saw the death angel at my right — walk back was brutal up the hills and totally beat down from the sun.
All in all, it was a great time and we had a great time… heck, I even got a nap in until I was kicked in the ribs by a stumbling toddler. The poor lil guy must have lost his footing and thought I was a speed bump! LOL…
The pic below is Brian, Cara, and Mal in the center of the red circle — this pic was taken after I got kicked in the ribs while sleeping.

Well, its been quite a productive week for Mal and I, yet it is only Wednesday! <Sigh> And what a cold, icey Wednesday morning we woke up to here in Austin. Oh well, Friday is almost here and we’ll be back on the grind of doing some small projects this weekend.
I wanted to share a quick post with you in regards to Mal doing some decor shopping for the house. She picked up an awesome work of art for the half bathroom and to my surprise, it was a piece we had saw some months ago. The ironic thing about the work of art is that Read more »

I made it back to New Hampshire safely last night. I had a slight delay getting out of Austin, but only landed in Boston about 30 minutes late. That’s when the fun began…. Read more »

Don’t know what the weather is like where you are at, but it’s cold here in Austin, snowing in Conroe, and in Grayson County, where I am from, they’ve had a few Tornados! Good ole’ Texas… you got to love it! Texas is the only place I know that can have 5 different types of weather occurring near the same time and all in the same day.
As for the cold Austin weather, Mal brought all that frigid air back from New Hampshire. It snowed late last night but was gone by time the sun rose this morning. Sorry kids, no early holiday break yet! :P Maybe tomorrow… we’re suppose to get down into the mid 20’s… so, remember PEOPLE, PIPES, PETS, & PLANTS. Keep the all inside.
