Surprises are such a wonderful thing, especially when you are the one on the receiving end.  Then again, I guess it really depends on the nature of the surprise.  That said, my “last night out” was a blast!  I figured the title would catch most people by surprise… ‘The Ride of a Lifetime’!  And no, we’re not talking about sex!  However, I am referring to a helicopter tour that my friends took me on as a gift.  I’ll never forget this weekend or the ride for as long as I live!  It doesn’t seem like we’ve known each other long, yet we’ve spent almost half of our lives together as partners in crime! :)

My bachelor weekend will be one to remember.  Check out some of the pictures and scenes from San Antonio, Texas! Click and view at your own risk!!!

Well, we’re coming down to the final moments…  9 days, 5 hours, 39 minutes and counting… yes, we’re keeping track of every second, minute, hour and day and you can too: Countdown to Mrs. Brown.

In preparation to make this ‘convenant’ legal in the State’s eyes, we took a little trip to the Travis County Clerk this morning to apply for our marriage license and it was uneventful (not that we were looking for trouble).  As a matter of fact, the only thing that happened was Read more »

Well the wedding is only 10 days away, so I figured I better write about the display shower before it gets any more busy around here.  Last month I was so blessed to have been thrown a display shower by the best of friends in my hometown of Conroe.  Jackie, Kelly, Kati, Kaci, and Michelle did an amazing job of throwing a beautiful shower!  I’m so thankful for everything they did to make it so special.

Well, the wedding clock is on an increasing tick and tock as May 29th fast approaching!  We were so graciously honored at our most recent Couples Shower held on March 27, 2010 at Serrano’s in Austin, Texas.  The location was beautiful and we had a great time with people who we ‘do life’ with on a consistent basis. :)  Not everyone was able to make it out, but nevertheless, we had a great time and felt the love from our friends and family that attended.  Thanks to everyone who attended and thanks for making our special day a memorable one… and for those who couldn’t make it, yes we did take pictures: Couples Shower 2010.

Well, it’s been a while since we’ve made a post.  A lot has happened, and it’s all been centered around ‘wedding’ events.  Since the last post, Engagement Pictures, A Few Are Posted, we’ve celebrated Mal’s birthday, gone to Conroe a few times and started planning for the countdown to our big day: May 29th (67 days as of this post).

As for the our wedding, Mal has been working her little rear end off to make sure everything has been accounted for… every ‘i’ dotted and every ‘t’ crossed!  Thanks, babe! :) From meeting florists to photographers to caterers to ceremony/reception venues to cake/catering tastings to invitations to wedding party attire to save-the-dates to showers to hotel lodging, she’s been a very busy gal.  But she’s managed to get it all finalized without stressing too much to say the least. lol :)  Weddings are never stressful, yeah right!?!?!

Our most recent trip has actually afforded us an opportunity to have a wedding dry-run and a mini-vacation in Chicago, Illinois.  A childhood friend of mine, Jeremy Norman, and his fiance/now wife, Raechelle Delarmente-Norman, were married on this past weekend in Chicago’s renowned Old St. Patrick’s Church.  In addition to other friends who joined us to celebrate the Norman’s big day, we all had a blast and wish the Norman’s much success and best wishes in their marriage.  Too, we thank them for helping us get acclimated to the Chicago way of life for our short stay.  From sunshine to rain to snow, we had it all this trip… yes, it snowed the day after a 70-degree day… and I thought Texas weather was all over the place. LOL :)

But despite the weather and in addition to the wedding, we had a chance to visit the following Chicago attractions: Read more »
