Well, we finally made it to Sherman from Austin last night after four and a half hours of Thanksgiving traveling up I-35 to Highway 75.  At times it was bumper to bumper traffic, and we even managed to find a gas station that had been out of gas for two hours.  As Mal would say… “Now, imagine that!” :)

But we all made it safe and sound, and now it is time for giving thanks, family time, games, fun, eating, rest, relaxation, good football and of course, good eatin’! ;)  So from us to you: Happy Thanksgiving!

In the mean time, if you need something to do, head on over to The Holiday Spot for all sorts of Thanksgiving ideas.

So Saturday came and I got the itch to go install light switches, outlets, and face plates for the media room and hallway.  Simple task… Read more »

Things seem to be slowly coming together, what a relief.  This week was one of major progress, thanks to some hired help.  Money well spent! (I think Al would agree too)

Last weekend was very full preparing for the texture/paint guys to come in on Monday.  We worked all weekend and had the place completely empty.  I have had my fill for a lifetime in removing wallpaper.  I am also in denial that there is still one bathroom left with wallpaper.
