Well time is flying by and although we are extremely busy, we haven’t made much progress on the house in a while. We have been focused on careers, business opportunities, Urban Music Fest preparation, and trying to make sure we’re still breathing ;) Read more »

Kati this one is for you… Congratulations!
So my best friend since we were born is engaged! Pretty crazy, but so very exciting. She now makes the fourth close friend to get engaged in less than 3 months, so I know what we’ll be doing a lot of over the next year or so. One of Alvin’s best friends also got engaged recently. Maybe this is a trend we should be a part of (hint hint)… just kidding babe – calm down!
Here’s to some jazz hand dancin in our near future Kati!

Wow, what a weekend. We had a very full weekend, but it was nice and productive! We completed all of the items on the ‘to-do’ list and we were ready for Bekah’s arrival just in time
We have now upgraded to a Queen bed, we had no idea what we were missing! Read more »

Well, Bekah is here and we still have some tasks to get done. As Mal would say, “Imagine that…” Oh well, nothing that I don’t mind doing today and tomorrow. Just putting a bed together and putting up a door and door casing.
It’ll be a strange dynamic to have another person in our home living with us. It’ll be funny to see how Brice and Butter both treat her… which I can guess that Brice will be apprehensive at first, but come around and Butter-she’ll be the affectionate one. For them, via their eyes, it’s a new playmate. Dinners, scheduling, washing, showering… and a house in middle of a remodel. This should be a fun change for everyone.
Well Bekah, we await your arrival with much anticipation and excitement! See ya tomorrow.

My good friend Bekah will arrive this weekend to spend about 8 weeks with us. She and I have known each other since 5th grade, and I can’t wait to see her! She will be doing a rotation to finish up her graduate school, and we’re glad to be able to put a roof over her head for a short while. But we have lots to do before she gets here! In Al like fashion, here are some of the to-do’s:
- Buy Queen mattress set for our room
- Move our full matress set and frame upstairs
- Set up headboard
- Assemble dresser
- Install blinds
- Hang curtain rod/curtain
- Hang door
We have plenty of other things to do that may get done, but if not those are the important and more immediate items. I’m sure we’ll be spending a good bit of time ready and on the PCs, which is important too. We can’t forget to focus on those things that allow us the finances to work on the house!
Happy Friday and hope everyone has a great weekend!
