This past weekend was one for the record books in regards to Love, Rest, and Life.
Friday, we had dinner with Chad, Kel, and Maddie. Maddie is growing so much. She’s now sitting up on her own and holding her bottle. In a lil’ bit, she’ll be talking up a storm and takin’ her first steps. Time flies… when we’re having fun with Maddie!

Hey there readers… We’re back from another fun-filled weekend of babysitting, coaching basketball, programming, and house remodeling.
Whew… the weekend went by so fast. And this weekend, “The Bug” came back and in full force! I started off Saturday thinking I wouldn’t really get much done just do to having to coach two basketball games at 2pm and 4pm. But off to the races I went installing the remaining baseboards in the living room and in the short hall area from the entrance into the garage. That went smoother than double-whipped Mayo! LOL! I’ll have to get pics and post those soon.
So, then I was forced to make a decision to either start our Master Closet storage or push it to another weekend. And the verdict is??????? Read more »
Okay, I’ve been MIA on remodeling the house that last few weekends, or at least getting big projects started/completed. And with the economy only going down more, we’ve been reluctant to starting/finishing major projects like wood floors, kitchen appliances, sprinkler system, ordering furniture and the other half of the kitchen. For the past 3 months, we’ve been working quite hard to make the house a home. So far, we’ve accomplished a lot for only working Saturdays and Sundays. We’ve had some “lessons learned”, some slight deviations from the original plan, and some long days of thinking: what have we done and got ourselves into? But all in all there is nothing like the feeling of accomplishment we’ve experienced with each completed task especially when looking at our pics from last year.

Like most people, we get the “what happened” or “what is the latest on the house” or “how is the house coming along”…
Well, here we go… We were to suppose to work on hanging all doors, build/install master closet, install baseboards, and grouting the remainder. Hmm… long way from it, but we did get some things done this weekend. Of course we made our trip to Lowes and Home Depot on Friday night and loaded up on the supplies we would need for Saturday and Sunday projects… like two kids in a candy store! :)
