You’ll have to read my latest post to really understand my TNT experience, but I had to write this post to let you know that I feel quite fine. Not sore one bit! I did finish knocking off those last 5-6 tiles as well as received a quote from K&M Coatings.  Lets just say that I believe in the high-quality work that K&M Coatings can provide in staining/polishing concrete, but we’ve chosen to utilize our funds in efficient manner: do it yourself tile.   Keeps roughly $2K in our pockets and moves us along on our timeline.  Not bad!  So, thanks K&M Coatings, but no thanks. :(

So much has happened in the last few days that we’ve posted new pics of our forever changing baby: 12301 House Remodel.

Where do I begin? Well, we got gas turned on Friday and now have hot water and heat. Oh Joy! :P Oh yah, one of the biggest things was that Mal came home from a long week of work in New Hampshire! YEAH! The bad thing is she’s sick! NOT GOOD! It was a long week but the dogs and I survived without incident. I’m glad to have her back home so 1) I can see and talk to her, 2) so evenings aren’t lonely and life isn’t lonely, 3) so we don’t have to play phone tag and 4) because I MISSED HER MUCH!

Ok, back to the house… I still love ya much, MAL! :) New pics are posted now, so go take a look. The latest updates are as follows… Read more »

And we thought we had the answer for the flooring of the 1st floor of our home: stained concrete.  Well as my meeting yesterday came to pass with the owner of K&M Coatings, I was feeling like things were coming together… that is until… we reached the Master Bathroom and area with the tile in the entrance.  Seeing the owner shake and rub his head a few times, I could see the excitement slowly dissipating and cost rising higher and higher by each shake and rub of his head.  NOT GOOD!   Read more »

Hopefully by Saturday, December 20, 2008, we’re able to say that we have completed another milestone in the house: stained concrete floors.

Until this monumental task is completed, we can’t possibly move forward with installing the trim on the first floor which will really add some character to the inside of the house. As a matter of fact, there is not too much that we can complete on the first floor besides paint the half bath, paint master bath, finish closing off, tiling shower in masterbath, order glass for masterbath, install vanities, install toilets, kitchen appliances, kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, lighting in Master/Living/Dining/Kitchen, and install new interior doors.

    Ok, I lied… Whew… Read more »
